Donald O. Thompson, Jr.

Donald Thompson has been the Chief Executive Officer of Maxwell Group, Inc. since he founded it in 1989. He provides strategic leadership, planning, and vision for all aspects of the Company.

Thompson started in the care industry in 1980 when he built his first assisted living community. He then went on to develop his first CCRC, or Life Plan Community, in 1982. Over the last five decades, Thompson has owned a variety of companies providing independent living, assisted living, dementia care, skilled nursing, rehab services, group purchasing, enteral feeding, medical equipment, medical supplies, home health services, and pharmacy services.

Thompson is a graduate of the University of North Carolina–Chapel Hill Kenan-Flagler Business School, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

Benjamin M. Thompson

President

Ben Thompson has been President of Maxwell Group, Inc. since June of 2019. He oversees and provides direction for all the Company’s operating functions.

Thompson joined the Company in 2012 as an Operations Analyst. He has since gone on to serve as VP Special Projects, VP Procurement, VP Development, and Executive Vice President, before being promoted to his current role. In his current role he is responsible for all the Company’s operational functions including human resources, programming, dining, development, construction, design, facility services, and purchasing.

Thompson is a graduate of the University of North Carolina–Chapel Hill, where he double majored, earning a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Management and Society.

Joshua E. K. Thompson

Josh Thompson has been the Chief Marketing Officer of Maxwell Group, Inc. since May of 2018. He oversees and provides the strategies and initiatives for all the Company’s marketing and sales.

Thompson joined the Company in 2015 as VP Procurement. He has since gone on to serve as a Lifestyle Advisor at Marsh’s Edge, a St. Simons Island, Georgia continuing care retirement community managed by Senior Living Communities and VP Marketing, before being promoted to his current role. Prior to joining Maxwell Group, Thompson was in outside sales for Ferguson Enterprises, Inc.

Thompson is a graduate of Oklahoma State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

Aniello Salierno

Chief Information Officer

Aniello Salierno has been the Chief Information Officer of Maxwell Group, Inc. since June of 2010. He oversees and provides direction for all the Company’s information technology strategy.

Salierno joined the Company in 2003 as Finance Director for The Lakes at Pointe West, a Florida continuing care retirement community previously managed by Senior Living Communities. He has since gone on to serve as an Executive Director and VP Operations, before being promoted to his current role. Prior to joining Maxwell Group, Salierno was the Assistant Branch Manager for Raymond James Financial, Inc.

Salierno is a graduate of the University of Florida, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance. He is also a licensed Assisted Living Administrator.

Chris Wente

Chief Accounting Officer

Chris Wente has been the Chief Accounting Officer of Maxwell Group, Inc. since December of 2019. He oversees and provides direction for all the Company’s accounting functions.

Prior to joining Maxwell Group, Wente was the Corporate Controller at Portrait Innovations. Wente started his accounting career with Deloitte, ultimately working his way up to Audit Manager. The primary industries served while at Deloitte were healthcare and manufacturing.

Wente is a graduate of North Carolina State University, where he earned his Master of Accounting. He is also a graduate of the University of Kentucky, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.

Marcel Tremble

Vice President of Operations

Marcel Tremble has been the Vice President of Operations of Maxwell Group, Inc. since April of 2016. He oversees and provides direction for the Company’s operations in Connecticut, North Carolina, and inland South Carolina communities.

Tremble joined the Company in 2007 as the Care Services Administrator for Brightwater, a Myrtle Beach, South Carolina continuing care retirement community managed by Senior Living Communities. He has since gone on to serve as an Executive Director with The Lakes at Litchfield, a Pawley’s Island, South Carolina continuing care retirement community managed by Senior Living Communities, before being promoted to his current role.

Tremble is a graduate of the University of North Carolina-Charlotte, where he earned his Master of Healthcare Administration. He is also a graduate of Wingate University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing.

Nerissa H. Nelson

Vice President of Human Resources

Nerissa Nelson has been the Vice President of Human Resources of Maxwell Group, Inc. since January of 2015. She oversees all aspects of Human Resources for the Company, including recruitment, workforce development, training, retention and benefits.

Nelson joined the Company in 2010 as Director of Talent Management. She has since gone on to serve in a variety of HR roles, such as VP Talent Management and VP Recruitment, before being promoted to her current role. She has spent her entire career in HR and states, “every team member at every level deserves to be valued, respected and heard”. Prior to joining Maxwell Group, Nelson worked for Federated Department Stores, Inc. and Nations Bank.

Nelson holds certifications in Human Resources and Aging Studies.

Robin Viles

Vice President of Care Services

Robin Viles has been the Vice President of Care Services of Maxwell Group, Inc. since September of 2017. She oversees all aspects of the Company’s Care Services, including Clinical Development & Analytics, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing, Short-Term Rehab, and Home Health.

Prior to joining Maxwell Group, Viles was the Director of Solutions Consultants with Netsmart, formerly HealthMEDX, Inc., where she consulted senior housing operators on the uses of health care technology and the optimization of electronic health records. Prior to working with Netsmart, Viles worked for several senior housing operators in a variety of roles.

Viles is a graduate of Drury University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration. She is also a graduate of Southwest Baptist University’s St. John’s School of Nursing, where she earned her Nursing degree. She is a Licensed Registered Nurse, Nursing Home Administrator, and a Registered Health Information Technician.

Dushyanth Biyyala

Dushyanth Biyyala has been the Vice President of Business Development of Maxwell Group, Inc. since February of 2020. He oversees and provides direction for all the Company’s new business opportunities and acquisitions.

Biyyala joined the Company in July of 2018 as Senior Associate. Prior to joining Maxwell Group, Biyyala was in the Real Estate, Gaming & Lodging Group at Jefferies.

Biyyala is a graduate of the University of North Carolina–Chapel Hill Kenan-Flagler Business School, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Minor in Public Policy.

Aimee L. Simmons

Aimee Simmons has been the Vice President of Programming & Training of Maxwell Group, Inc. since April of 2016. She oversees and provides direction for all the Company’s training, wellness, and social initiatives.

Simmons joined the Company in 2012 as Vice President of Healthcare Marketing, where she oversaw all the Company’s Care Services sales. In 2013 Simmons accepted a position elsewhere in the industry and most recently served as Executive Director of Waltonwood-Cotswold before rejoining the Company as VP Programming.

Simmons is a graduate of Lander University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science. She is a licensed Assisted Living Administrator, Certified Dementia Practitioner, and a Certified Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia care.

Angela Gist

Vice President of Clinical Development

Angela Gist has been the Vice President of Clinical Development of Maxwell Group, Inc. since April of 2016. She oversees all of the Company’s clinical services, as well as works with the communities on developing best in class care.

Gist joined the Company in 1998 as Assisted Living Administrator at Summit Hills, a Spartanburg, South Carolina continuing care retirement community managed by Senior Living Communities. She has gone on to serve as the Director of Nursing at Summit Hills, before being promoted to her current role. Prior to joining Maxwell Group, Gist worked in Acute Care, Med/Surgery and Urology Nursing.

Gist is a graduate of University of South Carolina–Upstate Mary Black School of Nursing, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. She is a Licensed Registered Nurse, Community Residential Care Facility Administrator, and a Certified Dementia Practitioner.

Adam Sears

Vice President of Dining

Adam Sears has been the Vice President of Dining of Maxwell Group, Inc. since January of 2018. He oversees and provides direction for all the Company’s Dining Services.

Sears joined the Company in 2014 as Director of Creative Dining. Prior to joining Maxwell Group, Sears was the Owner and Chef of Merge, a New American & French restaurant located in Amelia Island, Florida. Sears extensive background in dining includes working for Ritz-Carlton, Omni Hotels & Resorts, and The Breakers–Palm Beach.

Sears is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Culinary Arts.

Tim W. Andrews

Tim Andrews has been the Vice President of Construction of Maxwell Group, Inc. since December of 2015. He oversees all aspects of the Company’s construction, including start-up operations and maintenance of operational communities.

Andrews joined the Company in 1989 in a facility maintenance role at Heritage Hills, a Hendersonville, North Carolina retirement community previously managed by Maxwell Group. He has since gone on to serve in several related roles including Director of Development for Aaron Enterprises. Most recently, Andrews was the VP Facility Services, where he oversaw all aspects of the Company’s facility services.

Andrews holds several licenses and certificates in multiple maintenance and construction fields.

Mike Zebrowski

Mike Zebrowski has been the Vice President of Facility Services of Maxwell Group, Inc. since May of 2019. He oversees all aspects of the Company’s facility services, including training, coordination and quality control.

Zebrowski joined the Company in 2015 as Director of Facility Services for Brightwater, a Myrtle Beach, South Carolina continuing care retirement community managed by Senior Living Communities. Prior to joining to Maxwell Group, he worked with industry leaders in hotels and casinos where he held management roles in construction, facilities, and engineering.

Zebrowski holds several licenses and certificates in multiple maintenance and construction fields.

Elena Hocking

Elena Hocking has been the Controller of Maxwell Group, Inc. since May of 2020. She oversees all aspects of the Company’s accounting functions including general accounting, property accounting, internal auditing and budgetary controls.

Prior to joining Maxwell Group, Hocking was the Assistant Controller at Lennar Corporation. Hocking started her accounting career with Deloitte, ultimately working her way up to Audit & Assurance Manager. The primary industries served while at Deloitte were in the real estate, healthcare, energy, and manufacturing industries.

Hocking is a graduate of Clemson University, where she earned her Master of Professional Accountancy and her Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a Minor in Finance. She is a Licensed Certified Public Accountant.

Andrew Parker

Creative Director

Andy Parker has been the Creative Director of Maxwell Group, Inc. since October of 2016. He oversees and provides direction for all the Company’s lead generation efforts, as well as the external and internal branding.

Parker joined the Company in 2008 as Webmaster. He has since gone on to serve as Assistant Creative Director, before being promoted to his current role. Prior to joining Maxwell Group, Parker was the Art Director & Web Designer for Burke Communications Design Agency.

Parker is a graduate of Columbus College of Art & Design, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Time Based Media.

Gina Gaines

Gaines joined the Company in 2014 as Design Specialist. She has since gone on to serve as Senior Designer and Project Manager, before being promoted to her current role. Prior to joining Maxwell Group, Gaines was the owner of Gina S. Gaines Interiors, focusing on commercial, residential, hospitality & healthcare.

Gaines is a graduate of Appalachian State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design.

Sheryl Brown

Sheryl Brown has been a Regional Sales Director of Maxwell Group, Inc. since January of 2021. She oversees and provides direction for the Company’s sales at communities in North Carolina and South Carolina.

Brown joined the Company in 2014 as a Lifestyle Advisor at Wellmore of Tega Cay, a Charlotte, North Carolina metropolitan care services retirement community managed by Maxwell Group. She has since gone on to serve as the Regional Sales Director of Care Services, before being promoted to her current role. Prior to joining Maxwell Group, Brown worked in a variety of sales and marketing roles in the senior housing industry.

Brown is a graduate of Winthrop University, where she earned her Bachelor of Social Work. She is a Certified Dementia Practitioner.

Mary Ellyse Fendig

Fendig joined the Company in 2017 as a Lifestyle Advisor at Marsh’s Edge, a St. Simons Island, Georgia continuing care retirement community managed by Senior Living Communities. She has since gone on to serve as a Senior Lifestyle Advisor at The Cascades Verdae, a Greenville, South Carolina continuing care retirement community managed by Senior Living Communities, before being promoted to her current role. Prior to joining Maxwell Group, Fendig was a Partner of First Light Home Care – Southeast Georgia.

Fendig is a graduate of University of South Carolina–Columbia, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Medical Humanities. She is a Certified Dementia Practitioner.

Heather Stewart

Heather Stewart has been the Director of Talent Acquisitions of Maxwell Group, Inc. since July of 2014. She oversees all aspects of the Company’s recruiting efforts, including candidate sourcing, ad placement, management of applicant tracking system, screening, and pre-employment testing.

Prior to joining Maxwell group, Stewart was a Recruiting Consultant for Cornerstone RPO, where she provided full recruiting life cycle functions for companies such as Google. Prior to working with Cornerstone, Stewart worked in other Recruiting, Human Resources, and Marketing roles.

Stewart is a graduate of Florida State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Communications.

Jermaine Fluker

Prior to joining Maxwell Group, Fluker worked for ADT Security Services and was the Youth Sports Director for the City of Greenville, South Carolina.

Davis Martin

Taylor Thornburg

Taylor Thornburg has been the Director of Information & Technology of Maxwell Group, Inc. since May 2018. He oversees all aspects of the Company’s IT infrastructure and support of the communities.

Thornburg joined the Company in 2012 as a Network Engineer and IT support staff. He has since gone on to serve as Systems Administrator, before being promoted to his current role. Prior to joining Maxwell Group, Thornburg was a Network Engineer for CNP Technologies and prior to that IRIS Solutions.

Thornburg attended Wofford College, where he studied Computer Science. He also attended Winthrop University, where he studied Theatre and Sociology.

Lorraine C. Aiken

Lorraine Aiken has been the Director of Social Media of Maxwell Group, Inc. since March of 2018. She oversees all aspects of the Company’s Social Media and Public Relations.

Aiken joined the Company in 2016 as Social Media Coordinator. Prior to joining Maxwell Group, Aiken was an Account Executive for Ford Motor Company at GTB, the primary marketing and advertising agency for Ford.

Aiken is a graduate of University of North Carolina–Charlotte, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communications.
